Oryx Announces Promotion Agreement with Hoffmann-La Roche Limited
Mississauga, Ontario - April 15th, 2002 — Oryx Pharmaceuticals Inc is pleased to announce that it has entered into a multi-year promotion agreement with Hoffmann-La Roche Limited for the marketing and promotion of Prolopa® in Canada.
Prolopa (levadopa-benserazide) is used for the treatment of Parkinson's disease a debilitating disease that affects many Canadians and is characterized by uncontrollable tremors of the extremities. Levadopa is one of the long established therapies for the management of Parkinson's disease. Prolopa has a demonstrated record of efficacy and safety in the treatment of Parkinson's disease and has been available in Canada since 1977. Oryx will be promoting Prolopa to neurologists across Canada.
